My interests and passions:
I have been an Optician, contact lens practitioner for the past 30 years and enjoy the going to work and helping people with there vision needs.
I also have been into photography for over 35 years and still own my first film SLR camera a Yashica FR1 from the early 1980’s.
It is my passion to combine both work and photography to make a difference in the world.
Dat's Photography and Dean Thompson will donate 100% of all proceeds generated from Dat’s Photography from the sale of prints and photography services, to fund my participation in optical mission’s to various third world counties.
Currently, about 670 million persons worldwide are functionally blind due to simple refractive error.
Another 700 million persons lack reading glasses.
Dat’s Photography and photographer Dean Thompson, is a Calgary Alberta photography business with a humanitarian mission.
My mission is to combined both my passion for photography and my work as an Optician Contact lens Practitioner to create Dat’s Photography with to intent to help reduce the number of people in the world that are functionally blind, regain vision and increase the ability to learn and be employable.
